Harp Instruction
Anita's studio in Woodslee, Ontario overlooks a beautiful ravine full of glorious trees and a yard that contains paddocks of horses. Her students aged 5 to 75, have continued to excel in their Royal Conservatory exams and are often featured in the Essex Harp Ensemble concerts.
Her hourly teaching rate for students is $30 (some harps are available for rent).
Each year her students participate in the Christmas "From the Harps" concerts, the Kiwanis Festival in Windsor and other special occasions. Presently several students are preparing for their Royal Canadian Conservatory of Music grades. Both the Celtic and classical harps are used in teaching.

Weddings
Weddings, parties or celebrations are enhanced by live music. The harp is a gentle, non-intrusive instrument that enhances the ambiance of your special occasions.
Anita has played on stage at the Capitol Theater, The Cleary International Centre, Mackenzie Hall, Leamington Art Gallery, Chatham Cultural Centre and numerous clubs, churches and halls within Southwestern Ontario and Michigan.

Celebration of Life
Celebration services are enhanced by the peaceful strains of the harp strings. Anita's experienced harp playing offers emotional support and comfort during Celebration of life and memorial services. When pallative harp music is played, listeners often experience an increase in relaxation, more restful sleep, pain reduction, stabilization of vital signs and improvement in mood.
Harp Therapy (Vibro Accoustic)
Anita was certified as a Vibroacoustic Harp Therapist in 2006, and has begun to experiment with a sound pad that is electronically connected to the harp. When patients lay on the resonant bed they experience a musical massage.
The harp is most soothing within a palliative care situation.

Harp Therapy
Anita was certified as a Practitioner of Harp Therapy in 1997, having completed her course with the International Harp Therapy Program then based in Burlington, Vermont. Experience was gained while in the course at the San Diego Hospice, Burlington General Hospital in paediatrics, neurosurgery and Alzheimer wards.
Since January 1999, Anita has been employed weekly at Banwell Gardens, in Tecumseh Ontario, doing one-on-one with patients in this long term care home. She's recently employed at Country Village in Woodslee and regularily playing at Huron Lodge Seniors Home.
Harp music provides beneficial comfort or stimulation to patients with Alzhiemers, chronic pain and post-operative stress.

Concerts
Jubal's Daughters, a harp/flute duo of Anita and Averil Spence-Clarke has recorded two CDs, "When a Child is Born" and "Dancing Doll", which friends and family say they play over and over again. Their styles range from Classical to Oriental, Celtic to Jazz, Popular to Sacred.
Annual concerts include A Celtic Christmas, "From the Harps", a performing group of five Essex County based harpists, "Winter Rose", a combination of harp songs and storytelling with Luise Taves, and "Jubals Daughters" recitals, featuring the flute and harp duo of Averil Spence-Clarke and Anita.
Anita and Averil Spence-Clarke met in Windsor in 1989 and have been performing together for over ten years. Both feel their music is an expression of their spiritual faith and often share their joy of playing with school groups, encouraging youngsters to pursue their training in all aspects of music. Their music transcends to all ages and faiths as natural as water cascading over rocks. The sound is ancient, ethereal, soothing and uplifting.
